P.S. 184Q is a dedicated community of life-long learners. Students, staff and families work together and support one another in accomplishing the critical and challenging goal of preparing all students for life in the real world, including college and career. We incorporate the use of technology, and connect curriculum and standards to authentic, diverse real life experiences, in a nurturing and welcoming, environment. We engage and challenge all students to use their individual strengths and talents to make a variety of positive contributions to the school community and the community at large, resulting in an improved modern world for all.

June 21, 2026 P.S. 184Q Families,   Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the Stepping up for Prek, the End of the Year Celebration for Kindergarten, and Fifth Grade Graduation! We are so proud of all of our students and the progress they made this past school year!   We look forward to having a fun and safe last week of school. Please be reminded that P.S. 184Q has a HALF Day on the Friday, June 26th.   Continue to send your child to school with plenty of water (no juices or soda) so that they can stay hydrated throughout the day.   Upcoming events: -P.S. 184Q hosts an Ice Cream Truck visit for students during the lunch periods – Wednesday, June 24

June 14, 2026 P.S. 184Q Families,   Thank you to our PTA for hosting a GREAT Carnival for our students!  The kids all had a lot of fun!   As the weather continues to get warmer, please be sure to send your child to school with plenty of water (no juices or soda) so that they can stay hydrated throughout the day.   Upcoming events: 6/16 – PreK Stepping Up  6/17 – Kindergarten Stepping Up 6/18 – 5th Grade Graduation June 26th – Last Day of School – ½ day Important Announcements: Respect our Neighbors! Please DO NOT park and block the driveway of our neighbors!    Shoe safety: Please be reminded that backless shoes such as Crocs (even in “sports mode”), Uggs without the backs, flipflop, etc.

June 7, 2026 P.S. 184Q Families, The grade 1-4 Spring Concerts took place this past week and the students along with Mr. Dietmann did a FANTASTIC job!!! Bravo!! Invest in your child’s future by signing up for the Save for College Program! Students enrolled in kindergarten through 4th grade at an NYC public school will receive $100 to create a Save for College account, regardless of income or immigration status.
