Dear P.S. 184 Families,

We celebrated World Read Aloud day as part of the Prek – Grade 2 Welcoming Wednesday. Over 90 family members came to read to over 200 students! It was a great time of bonding and fun for the students and families. We encourage all of our families to read to their children and with their children as often as they can. This is a great way for families to help children increase their reading skills and create memories at the same time.

In order to ensure that students and staff continue to be familiar with the General Response Protocols, we are planning to have a lock down drill this coming week. Please use the GRP Summary Guide to discuss our responses with your child in advance of this drill.

iReady Sprints – In preparing for the upcoming state exams, all students in grades 3-5 will be participating in and iReady Sprint which requires them to do lessons for a minimum of 30 minutes per week and complete at least five grade-level lessons.
