We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to the family members who came to present to our students for Career day. The students and staff were so impressed with our presenters and learned so much. We are already looking forward to next year!
Upcoming events:

Prek-2 Welcoming Wednesday – Come celebrate World Read Aloud Day! Prek-2 family members are invited to bring a book from home to read to your child in school during Welcoming Wednesday.

Half Day – Monday, February 9, 2026 – staggered dismissal will begin at 11:20am.
Important Announcements:

We are highlighting “Respect” in February. This coming week in SEL class, students in grades 3-5 will receive a lesson on Understanding and responding to hate speech/biased slurs. The entire school will also be participating in Respect for All activities during the week of February 9th .

HIV lessons – A letter was sent home last week informing all families about the annual mandatory HIV lessons. Our PE teachers will begin teaching lessons in the coming weeks, ensuring that they are student appropriate for all of our students. Please note that there are no opt out lessons.

Breakfast – Doors open for breakfast at 7:40am. All students who come must take a breakfast.

Lateness – Students arriving after 8:15 must be signed in at the main office by an adult. Please be sure your child is in school on time by 8:10am.

Scooter and Bike Safety – ALL children riding scooters and bicycles should wear helmets at all times to ensure their safety. Scooters and bikes should not be ridden on the sidewalk during entry and dismissal.

Traffic Safety – Keep Our Children Safe– PLEASE adhere to all traffic and safety laws. Do not double park. Do not triple park. Do not let your child let your child out in the middle of the street. Please respect our neighbors and do not block driveways.

Outdoor recess – Students will be going out to recess as long as the weather permits. Please ensure that your children are dressed appropriately and wear closed shoes – no slides and no Crocs. Please be sure to send children to school with proper outerwear.

School iPads – If you would like your child to be able to bring their school issued iPad back and forth from home, you must contact Ms. Blanchet and set up a time to fill out a DOE device loan agreement. Please note that this is different than the school loan agreement. Families will be responsible for any damage to the iPad and/or keyboard covers.
