Dear P.S. 184Q Families, 
 
Thank you to the PTA for a fun-filled Halloween Party! All of the students had a lot of fun and the money raised will go to help our school!
 
Upcoming events:
  • Friday, October 31st  – Halloween Parade Schedule This year, the student government voted to combine our Halloween and Veteran’s day fundraisers. We are once again asking for a suggested $3 donation for the Tunnels to Towers organization. However, you may choose to give whatever amount you wish.
  • No School – Election Day – Tuesday, November 4th 
  • Grades 3-5, Welcoming Wednesday, November 5th– Come see HMH centers in action. Only one guest per student allowed due to space restrictions.
  • Parent Teacher Conferences – Half Day – Thursday, November 6th – Dismissal will begin at 11:20am. Notices will be sent home on Monday. 
  • No School – Veteran’s Day – Tuesday, November 11th 
 
Important Announcements:
  • Breakfast – Doors open for breakfast at 7:40am. All students who come must take a breakfast.
     
  • Lateness – Students arriving after 8:15 must be signed in at the main office by an adult. Please be sure your child is in school on time by 8:10am.
     
  • Scooter and Bike Safety – ALL children riding on scooters and bicycles should wear helmets at all times to ensure their safety.
     
  • Traffic Safety – Keep Our Children SafePLEASE adhere to all traffic and safety laws. Do not double park. Do not triple park. Do not let your child let your child out in the middle of the street. Please respect our neighbors and do not block driveways.
     
  • Outdoor recess – Students will be going out to recess as long as the weather permits. Please ensure that your children are dressed appropriately and wear closed shoes – no flip flops and no Crocs.
     
  • School iPads – If you would like your child to be able to bring their school issued iPad back and forth from home, you must contact Ms. Blanchet and set up a time to fill out a DOE device loan agreement.  Please note that this is different than the school loan agreement. Families will be responsible for any damage to the ipad and/or keyboard covers
