Dear P.S. 184Q Families,
We are looking forward to welcoming our Prek-2nd grade families for our first Welcoming Wednesday of this school year. In grades K-2 families will be able to participate in Heggerty and Fundations routines while Prek families will be able to see their children engaged in their morning routines. Remember that due to space limitations, only one family member is allowed per student.

Welcoming Wednesday Grades Prek – 2nd – Wednesday October 8, 2025 @ 8:10am – 8:50am. Entrance will be by door # 7 located on 21st avenue.

No school – October 13th – Columbus Day & Indigenous People’s Day

No school – October 20th – Diwali
- Unity Day & Pumpkin Patch day Wednesday, October 22nd – We are asking all students to wear orange on this day.
Important Announcements:

Breakfast – Doors open for breakfast at 7:40am. All students who come must take a breakfast. Entry door # 11 located between the school big play ground and the school building.

Lateness – Students arriving after 8:15 must be signed in at the main office by an adult. Please be sure your child is in school on time by 8:10am.

Traffic Safety – Keep Our Children Safe– PLEASE adhere to all traffic and safety laws. Do not double park. Do not triple park. Do not let your child let your child out in the middle of the street. Please respect our neighbors and do not block driveways.

Outdoor recess – Students will be going out to recess as long as the weather permits. Please ensure that your children are dressed appropriately and wear closed shoes – no flip flops and no Crocs.

School iPads – If you would like your child to be able to bring their school issued iPad back and forth from home, you must contact Ms. Blanchet and set up a time to fill out a DOE device loan agreement. Please note that this is different than the school loan agreement. Families will be responsible for any damage to the ipad and/or keyboard covers.
