Dear Families, 

Thank you to all of our parent volunteers and our teachers who helped make the Field day a fun experience for our third, fourth and fifth graders.

Happy Memorial Day weekend.

Upcoming events:
 
Field Days – please be on the lookout for messages regarding volunteers. 
    • Grade PreK – Thursday, May 29th
    • Grades K-2 – Friday, May 30th
  • PTA General Membership on May 27, at 7 pm. Zoom link has been shared on Class dojo.
  • PTA Election Meeting on Wednesday, June 4th at 8:30 am. Zoom link will be shared on Class dojo along with the instructions to verify you for voting.
  • June 5 School Closed in observance of Eid al Adha 
  • June 6 Clerical Day – Students do not attend school.
 
Important Announcements:
 
-In case of remote instruction – In case schools are called to remote instruction due to circumstances such as extreme weather (ex. Snow storm), please be aware of the following:
    • Students should have a device at home to access Google classroom and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or Google Meet, etc.
    • New! Students in grades K-5 will be required to be online for 5 hours with their teachers
    • Students should all know how to log into their student accounts such as Teachhub.
       
  • Outdoor recess – As the weather gets warmer students will be going out to recess more often and enjoy the new and fun recess equipment.  For safety, please be sure to send your children with closed toe shoes, (no crocs, slides ) Consider labeling your child’s items so that it can be returned to them if lost. 
     
  • School iPads – Please begin returning the devices on Tuesday, May 27th. Come to the main office with the device and all the accessories you received. Please ask for Ms. Lilly Agro. All devices must be returned by Friday, June 6th. 
 
Traffic safety continues to be a concern during pick up and drop off.  Please be sure to follow all traffic rules when dropping off and picking up your children. Keep our children safe!
  • DO NOT drop off your child in the middle of the street. Pull all the way up to the curb.
  • If possible, park a block away from the school and walk. 
  • Do not ride e-scooters or e-bikes on the sidewalk.
  • ALWAYS wear a helmet when riding a scooter or bike. This is a must for children!
  • Do not block driveways of our neighbors
