Dear P.S. 184Q Families,
The project to repair our school’s roof and eliminate flooding and leaking has begun. In the coming weeks, you will see work staging areas appearing and eventually scaffolding and netting going around the building. Please be on the lookout for any changes to entry and dismissal procedures.
Taking advantage of the warmer weather, we plan to have an evacuation drill this week.

- Save the Date! Multiculture Night – May 1st from 4pm-7pm. Come see your children’s work on display! Participate in the Multicultural Fashion Show! Come watch some cultural dances! Support the PTA and their Food Mania fundraiser!
- Spring Break – No school – April 14-18
- PTA May meeting is on April 28 at 7pm. Zoom link will be share on Class Dojo.

- School Survey 2025 deadline has been extended! – Please be sure to fill out your NYCPS family survey. You can do it online, in the paper form that comes with a prepaid green envelope to mail after it’s completed or on the NYCSA account. Classes with the most surveys completed will receive a prize!
- In case of remote instruction – In case schools are called to remote instruction due to circumstances such as extreme weather (ex. Snow storm), please be aware of the following:
- Students should have a device at home to access Google classroom and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or Google Meet, etc.
- New! Students in grades K-5 will be required to be online for 5 hours with their teachers
- Students should all know how to log into their student accounts such as Teachhub.
- Outdoor recess – As the weather gets warmer students will be going out to recess more often and enjoy the new and fun recess equipment. For safety, please be sure to send your children with closed toe shoes, (no crocs, slides ) Consider labeling your child’s items so that it can be returned to them if lost.
- School iPads – If you would like your child to be able to bring their school issued iPad back and forth from home, you must contact Ms. Agro and set up a time to fill out a DOE device loan agreement. Please note that this is different than the school loan agreement. Families will be responsible for any damage to the ipad and/or keyboard covers.
- Traffic Safety – Keep Our Children Safe– PLEASE adhere to all traffic and safety laws. Do not double park. Do not triple park. Do not let your child let your child out in the middle of the street. Please respect our neighbors and do not block driveways.
