This past week we hosted our annual Career Day. Our students were able to hear presentations from police officers, fire fighters, professors, nurses, and even a cyber security engineer to name a few. A BIG THANK YOU to all of our family members to took time out of their busy schedules to come and speak to our students!! A BIG SHOUT OUT to Mrs. Acquista and Ms. Black for organizing such a wonderful and valuable event for our students!

  • Grades PK-2 – Welcoming Wednesday, 2/5/2025 – Come engage in some math activities in your child’s classroom

Important Announcements:
 
  • NYC Education Council – Participating in this upcoming elections as a candidate or a voter is your chance to help shape the future of our school community. Virtual Community and Citywide Education Councils (CCECs) Elections Information Session for Prospective Candidates on Tuesday, February 4th at 6 PM!   Applications are now open if you are considering running for the Education Council.  For more information please visit www.schools.nyc.gov

  • In case of remote instruction – In case schools are called to remote instruction due to circumstances such as extreme weather (ex. Snow storm), please be aware of the following:
    • Students should have a device at home to access Google classroom and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or Google Meet, etc.
    • New! Students in grades K-5 will be required to be online for 5 hours with their teachers
    • Students should all know how to log into their student accounts such as Teachhub.
       
  • Outdoor recess – Students will be going out to recess as long as the real-feel temperature is 32 degrees and above.  As the weather gets colder, please be sure to send your children with appropriate outerwear. Consider labeling your child’s jacket/coat on the inside so that it can be returned to them if lost. 
     
  • School iPads – If you would like your child to be able to bring their school issued iPad back and forth from home, you must contact Ms. Agro and set up a time to fill out a DOE device loan agreement.  Please note that this is different than the school loan agreement. Families will be responsible for any damage to the ipad and/or keyboard covers.
     
  • Traffic Safety – Keep Our Children Safe– PLEASE adhere to all traffic and safety laws. Do not double park. Do not triple park. Do not let your child let your child out in the middle of the street. Please respect our neighbors and do not block driveways. 
     
  • New Lateness Procedures –  After the doors close at 8:20am, for safety reasons, a parent/guardian must ring the doorbell, come sign in with security and then come to the main office to sign your child into school.
